  12. * HOW TO INSTALL:
  13.  
  14. Copy ALL the files in the FONTCL11.ZIP archive into a single temporary
  15. directory. Use Program Manager or File Manager to run the program
  16. called SETUP.EXE.
  17.  
  18. If you just want to check out Font Control, and don't want it littering
  19. files all over your system, tick the "Check it out" box. If you later
  20. decide you don't want to use Font Control, all you have to do is delete
  21. the directory SETUP.EXE installed Font Control in to "uninstall" it.

  23. Font Control requires approximately 2 Mb of hard disk space; 1 Mb for the
  24. program files, and between 500 Kb and 1 Mb of space for the font database
  25. which Font Control creates.

  27. * SETUP.EXE CAN'T INSTALL
  28.  
  29. The #1 common problem: You don't have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your
  30. system. You can obtain a copy of this file from wherever you obtained
  31. this copy of Font Control.

  33. If for some other reason SETUP.EXE won't install Font Control in your
  34. computer, make sure all the files are located in the same directory,
  35. then use Program Manager or File Manager to run FONTCTRL.EXE to start
  36. Font Control.

  39. * FONT CONTROL WON'T RUN, OR LOOKS WEIRD WHEN IT RUNS:

  41. If you get a Windows file-sharing error, add the line:
  42.  
  43.     C:\DOS\SHARE.EXE /L:500
  44.  
  45. to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
  46.  
  47. If you have some other error, run the SETUP.EXE program again, and this time
  48. tick the "Check it out" box. This will, hopefully, overcome the problems you
  49. are having with other incompatible files on your computer.
